For nearly a century, our client has delivered sustainable, research-driven technical solutions for elite UK and international sports venues, grassroots community spaces, and professional training facilities.

With an expanding global project pipeline across major elite stadiums and training venues, they are growing their core technical design team. They require a strong Design Lead from a traditional civil, MEP, or infrastructure engineering background who can manage multidisciplinary coordination, translate specialist agronomic requirements into buildable engineering packages, and drive technical excellence across high-profile international developments.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Lead and coordinate technical design for major stadium, training ground, and Field of Play infrastructure projects across RIBA Stages 0–7

  • Coordinate complex technical interfaces including pitch drainage, irrigation, water infrastructure, undersoil heating, ventilation, advanced monitoring technologies, and M&E connections

  • Act as the primary technical design lead, representing the firm in design reviews with clients, architects, structural/civil engineers, MEP consultants, and main contractors

  • Prepare and review drawings, BIM models, technical details, performance specifications, BoQs (Bills of Quantities), basis of design documents, end-of-stage reports, and contractor RFI responses

Experiences required

  • Proven experience in an engineering design consultancy environment (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, MEP/Building Services, Drainage, Water, or Infrastructure)

  • Practical familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit is essential

  • Hands-on experience working within BIM environments

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent practical experience in Civil, Mechanical, Building Services, or Infrastructure Engineering

  • Exposure to Civil 3D or Navisworks is highly advantageous

  • Professional accreditation or progress towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer (CEng / IEng) status is advantageous but not essential
