Many of our team have spent years working directly in the CAD sector, using tools like SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD before moving into recruitment. That experience means we understand the technical detail, the people behind the projects, and what makes a great design team.

We started Solid Talent because we’re passionate about helping others reach their goals.

About our founders -
Ross Bannister
Hi, I’m Ross Bannister (BEng Hons, Computer Aided Engineering & Design).
​
I’ve spent my entire career in the design and engineering industry, combining a passion for technology with a genuine understanding of people and talent.
​
In 2009, I founded Solid People, a specialist CAD recruitment agency that grew to become one of the best-known names in the UK design sector. In 2023, Solid People was acquired by Solid Solutions, the UK’s leading SolidWorks reseller. Following the acquisition, I was retained to help expand their portfolio by integrating dedicated recruitment services into their business.

Now, through Solid Talent, I’m continuing that journey — helping businesses grow high-performing design and engineering teams while supporting talented professionals in finding roles where they can thrive.
For me, recruitment has always been about more than filling roles — it’s about building relationships, understanding people, and helping the CAD community succeed.

Hi, I’m Steven Glanville.
After many successful years as a Recruitment Consultant and Team Lead at Solid Solutions Staffing (formerly Solid People), I’m excited to join Ross once again in launching Solid Talent to continue supporting the design and engineering community.

With over 16 years of experience spanning team leadership, customer service, and specialised technical recruitment, I bring a unique perspective. My focus is always on building strong relationships and understanding the specific needs of both our innovative clients and the talented candidates we serve.
